Buckle up, New England, because you’re in for a rockin’ good time when Dark Star Orchestra (DSO) Fall Tour 2019 continues this month, with multiple stops in New England.
Presenting its critically acclaimed live show to Deadheads both young and old, Dark Star Orchestra’s (DSO) determined commitment to ‘raising the Dead’ has drawn nationwide attention.
Offering a continually evolving artistic outlet within the Grateful Dead’s musical canon, members of DSO seek out the unique style of each performance era, and offer their own interpretations and improvisations of Grateful Dead at each show. Using entire set lists from the Grateful Dead’s decades of touring as a launching pad, DSO recreates song for song performances straight from the set list of these historic shows.
DSO will make stops in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont over the next two weeks.
What’s Up New England’s Gary Alpert will be on hand for the show at Lowell Memorial Auditorium on Saturday night. Look for his coverage here on our site early next week.
